The most common type of retreat we host at Our Lady of the Fields Camp & Retreat Center is our standard “Youth Group Weekend Retreat”.
Since 2019, we have hosted over 200 churches and schools for weekend retreats, with many more already booked for 2023.
Although we can be flexible with each group’s scheduling needs, the typical weekend retreat starts on Friday evening. We have found this is a great time for a welcome bonfire under the stars and overlooking our lake. We can have all the fixins’ for s’mores and hot chocolate ready for your arrival.
If desired, we can also make our church available for Mass, Adoration, Confession, or a simple prayer service. While we don’t have a priest permanently assigned to our camp, we have found that many youth groups have success inviting their own parish priest or school chaplain to the retreat.
Depending on your retreat program, Saturday can be wide open. Of course, you can run your own retreat programs and talks, but the staff of Our Lady of the Fields stands ready to provide outdoor programming, such as:
High and Low Ropes Course
Climbing tower
Dual Zip lines
Giant Swing
Vertical Play Pen
Inflatable aqua park with trampolines, slides, and climbing structures (weather permitting)
Kayaking and Canoeing on Euler Lake
Rides around Euler Lake on our brand new luxury pontoon boat
Hiking on our miles of trails through the woods
The OLF Retreat staff is also capable of planning and facilitating Catholic retreat spiritual programs. Just let us know how we can help!
OLF also has a large commercial kitchen and dining room that can seat 175 people indoors and another 140 outside on our deck that overlooks the lake and is a great spot to watch both the sunrise and the sunset each day!
We also have audio and video equipment for your use.
Saturday night could also be another bonfire or a worship service in our church.
Sunday departure time is flexible depending on what you would like to accomplish with your group.
